ABOUT
Randy Bates started Randolph Development in 1996 to develop apartments, warehouses and single family subdivisions. Since that time, he has directed the finance and development of over 2,300 apartments and 200 residential lots with several partners including Trammel Crow Residential, Wood Partners, Bell Partners and Keystone Builders. Randy also directed the Charleston, South Carolina office of Wood Partners.
Prior to starting Randolph Development, Randy was VP of Keystone Corporation in Raleigh, NC. There he directed the development and sales of residential properties in the Carolinas as well as managing several commercial properties. Later, he directed the finance and development of over 1,100 apartments and townhomes in six communities along 1.5 million square feet of distribution and flex/office buildings in the Raleigh-Durham region.
Randolph Development is currently developing the $85 million dollar Meeting St Lofts community in Charleston, SC with Kane Realty and Federal Capital Partners. Meeting St Lofts is 346 unit mixed-use development with 16,000 square feet of Class-A retail space.
Randy currently lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife Laurie. They have a son and two daughters aged 24, 21 and 13 respectively. Randy is an avid boater and fisherman who also enjoys racquetball, golf and snow skiing. Between work, play and raising an active family, Randy has helped coach youth sports teams and served in several church leadership positions.
